- The SCNATS Fall Workshop and Business Meeting will be held on
Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Columbia College. The day will consists
of several mini-workshops presented by our own chapter members. If you
are interested in presenting at the Workshop, please submit your
proposals to co-chairs Jennifer Luiken (Charleston Southern University)
or Becky Turner (Converse College).

- On Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at the American Liszt Society Bicentennial
Festival, as part of his 8pm recital, Thomas Hampson will sing the world
premiere of "Laura Sonnets," a song cycle based on Petrarch texts, by
the distinguished American composer William Bolcom. The first sales of
the published score will take place at the post-recital reception, with
Mr. Bolcom and Mr. Hampson in attendance and available to autograph the
score. The Hugh Hodgson School of Music and the American Liszt Society
cordially invite all South Carolina NATS members to attend the premiere
of a significant contribution to the vocal literature composed in honor
of the Bicentennial of the
birth of Franz Liszt.
